the status of being one of the oldest and primitive tribes in the

amidst the tribals.
During your visit, you will be surprised to find a way of living that
is far off from the modern one. These tribals have retained their age
old customs and traditions amidst so much of development and have
thereby ensured a distinct identity for themselves. These people will
take a little bit of time to adjust to your presence so do not just
hurry. Greet them cordially and make them feel comfortable. Thereby
proceed to chat with them. Know more about their history and culture,
their day to day problems, sorrows and happiness. If comfortable
enough, the tribals will even pose for a picture with you.
Later on, pay a visit to the Juna Mahal, the Badal Mahal, Rajmata
Devendra Kunvar State Museum and Cultural Centre and the Government
Archaeological Museum. Each of these places has its own distinct
uniqueness which you will notice while you are going through the
place.

cities in the entire state of Rajasthan.

made specifically for the use of royal ladies in the 18th century. The
garden is a wonderful place to relax and refresh.

Rajasthali and proceed to enjoy a boat ride on the Lake Pichola. This
is perhaps the high point of the day. With the setting sun spreading
its alluring beauty on the water of the lake, your ride becomes
exceedingly special.
Enjoy your dinner with the folk music and dances in the hotel itself.
Stay overnight in Udaipur.

Lake Palace, Udaipur
Day 06 : Udaipur - Deogarh
This morning, have your breakfast and proceed towards
Deogarh which is around 135 km away from Udaipur. In earlier times,
the ruler of Udaipur entitled few feudal barons, called umraos, to
wait upon him. 'The Rawal' of Deogarh was one of them.
Presently the Deogarh Mahal is the main attractions of the small
town. It was constructed by Rawal Dwarka Das Ji in the second half of
the 16th century for his personal use, however as of today, the palace
has been partly converted into a heritage hotel. This is where you
will check in when you reach Deogarh.
You can spend the rest of the day relaxing in the cosy environment of
the hotel or else go out and discover some of the hidden attractions
of Deogarh. Visit the Vishnu Temple (Dashavatar Temple) dating back to
the Gupta period and Manastambha (a group of 31 Jain temples from post
Gupta period). If you wish to shop a bit, do not forget to pick up the
Chanderi saris which have made this place famous worldwide. A horse
ride to discover the rural surroundings of the town is also an
interesting option for you.

Day 07 : Deogarh - Rawla Narlai
Day seven of your trip will be marked by a variety of
attractions. After your breakfast, move towards Rawla Narlai, enroute
stopping to visit the famous Ranakpur Jain Temples. Built during the
reign of Rana Kumbha, the temple complex boasts of having 1444
beautifully carved supporting pillars. Each of these pillars is unique
in its design which makes them all the more interesting for you. Go
around and have a look at the artistry of the craftsmen who worked day
and night to produce such carvings.
Later, move to Rawla Narlai, a tranquil heritage hotel in the 15th
century village of Narlai. The village has a considerable population
of Garasia tribes in and around its area. You can go around and
discover their way of living, dress up and other customs. However, the
most interesting custom of the Garasia tribals is their marriage.
Couples of the tribe flee during the yearly Gaur fair on full moon
night. You can try and find out more about this custom during your
visit to them.
Night will be full of cultural performances and magic shows by local
artists. Enjoy the delicious Rajasthani food around a bonfire along
with these performances.

old city. Return to your hotel and relish a delicious meal while
enjoying the folk performances by local artists.

pride themselves for being one of the early environmentalists of the
area. You can hear an incredible story of environment protection from
them while you visit their village.
The Bishnoi villages or a Bishnoi safari is not exactly a trip to the
Bishnoi people. Rather, it consists of a visit to just one Bishnoi
village along with a visit to villages of weavers, potters and dhurrie
makers. These craftsmen are not Bishnois, still visit them to know
more about their art forms and see them work at their shops.
Later, also visit the place where group of impalas and the endangered
black bucks can be sighted. Return to Jodhpur and relax. Post dinner,

reach the palace, get to know about its history. The palace is not a
visual delight as you might think it to be but still it is worth
visiting, specially the palace museum. Go around the museum and have a
look at the items that were a favourite of the royal maharajas -
crystal, glass, chinaware and fancy clocks. Few stuffed animals and
model planes will also catch your attention. However, do not try to
photograph anything since it is prohibited inside.
