Highlights of The Himalayan Mountain Adventure Tour
Day 1 : Arrival at Delhi
Fly into the capital city of Delhi. From Airport you will be directly taken to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day according to your interests. If time permits, go out for some shopping in the City. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 : Delhi Sightseeing
Your tour starts with sightseeing in the Delhi which too will be an
adventure in itself. We start by visiting all the major tourist
attractions in Delhi. We first head to the heritage monument of Qutab
Minar, which is the tallest minaret in India. Get a peak into this
architectural marvel which is completely built of red sandstone. From
here we drive past to Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan. We make
a short stop at India Gate where families will be enjoying around the
fountains and parks. We continue our ride to Akshardham Temple.
Probably the best attraction at moment in the city. The beauty of the
carvings and the statues will keep you captivated.
We then move onto Old Delhi. Enjoy a unique rickshaw ride on the
narrow streets of Chandni Chowk (the once royal market of Mughals).
From here, shop for jewelry items at the famous jewelry market, Dariba
Kalan. Right opposite to the market is the world heritage site Red
Fort. The fort holds the attractions of Diwan-i-Khas and Diwan-i-Am,
watch the magnificent carvings on the palace walls which were once
embedded with precious stones. Shop for many handicraft items, fake
ivory jewelry, and miniature paintings from the famous Meena Bazaar
inside the fort. Stay back to enjoy the pleasing Light and Sound show,
which depicts the glorious history of Mughals. Then we are back to the
hotel for overnight stay.

Sikara - Srinagar
Day 3 : To Srinagar
After breakfast, we catch an early morning flight to Srinagar. Just after couple of hours, we will land at Srinagar. You are in for a pleasant surprise, as we will not be staying in any hotel but a houseboat, and that too on the celebrated Dal Lake. In the second half of the day, we will visit the famous Mughal Gardens. You will be overwhelmed by the variety, beauty and the fragrance of flowers that is there in the many gardens. We then return to Dal lake to enjoy a pleasant shikara ride. Along with admiring the natural beauty of the surrounding, do not forget to shop for some pashmina shawls, and other local items from the floating shops on the lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 : Srinagar Gulmarg (46 km)
Wake up to a beautiful morning in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Early morning we leave for Gulmarg which is at a distance of around 46 km from here. The entire distance is full of natural splendors on both sides of the road. So keep your cameras focused and ready to capture it all for you. As we reach Gulmarg, we take you to a hotel for check in. We keep our baggage in the hotel and move out to explore the city of Gulmarg. If it is winter season, we will have the opportunity to indulge in Skiing in one of the most famous ski resorts in Asia. Slope down the sheets of snow and let the adrenaline run high. This also is the only resort in Asia where you can experience the thrill of Heli-skiing. The facilities for heli-skiing are exquisite here, so we do not let the wonderful opportunity pass by us. The resort is the highest ski resort in world which is served by a gondola lift (Cable car). So we will take a ride in the gondola lift to the top of Apherwat Hill. From here, you will get magnificent views of Nanga Parbat, which is the fourth highest peak in the world. And if the grounds are not covered in snow, we have the option of trying few shots in the highest green top golf course of the world. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 : Gulmarg Jammu
Early morning, we leave for Jammu. Today, all we do is traveling. The distance between Gulmarg and Jammu is huge and we have to cover it by road as there is no rail connection in Gulmarg. The 11 hour long ride will finish only at night. So relax and enjoy the magical sights as we pass through the most picturesque part of the state. As we reach Jammu, you will be taken to a hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 6 : Jammu Aerosports
For Aerosports, Jammu is without a doubt, the place in the state. And we make best use of the facilities that are there for aerosports in the city. After breakfast, we straightaway go to a training camp. There you will be given all the necessary instructions that you will have to follow for your safety as well as for enjoyable experience. You can indulge in Para Gliding, and Hot air ballooning, and Para Sailing. Entire day we will spend soaring high in the sky. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 : To Delhi
We leave for Delhi only in the afternoon, till then you have time to move out in the city and explore the nearby areas. There are good markets for shopping as well, so utilize your time. You will be transferred to airport on time for your flight. We reach Delhi within a couple of hours from departure. From airport, you will be directly taken to your hotel for check in. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

River Rafting - Rishikesh
Day 08: Delhi Rishikesh (224 Km)
After early morning breakfast, we leave for Rishikesh. The distance between the two cities is around 224 km and it would take around 5 hr to complete the journey. We are in Rishikesh for the most adventurous moments of the tour. Get yourself prepared for river rafting in the fast flowing River Ganges, both mentally and physically. There are two main routes for the rafting, one is 16 km long and the other is 26 km long. In the evening, we take up the 26 km route for the adventure. Before the start, you will be given tips and instruction by the guide on how to handle the experience. Follow every instruction carefully for your and other's safety. We hit some of the best rapids that are there in River Ganges. Hold on tight as we pass through Roller Coaster, Golf Course and many other class 4 and 5 rapids. Overnight stay at camp set up on the banks of Ganges.
Day 09: Further Rafting Evening to Joshimath (255 Km)
Early morning, we resume with our rafting stint. This time we hit stronger rapids that will test all your skills, so get ready for the challenge. After finishing the rafting, we drive back to the camp, where all our luggage will be kept. After some time we leave for Joshimath. The distance of about 255 Km will be covered in around 6 hrs. You will be taken to a hotel or tourist bungalow for overnight stay.
Day 10: Joshimath Govindghat - Ghangaria
The mornings are absolutely beautiful in this part of India. After breakfast, pack your bags and leave for Govindghat by 20 km drive. From there starts the real fun. Govindghat is our starting point from where we start our trekking to Ghangaria. The 13 km trek proves to be perfect for starters as the slopes are mild and are surrounded by wonderful locations. It will take around 3 hrs to go through the trek. Check into a hotel on arrival. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Ghangaria Valley of Flowers
All we have to do is cover a 3 km trek to reach the magnificent Valley of Flowers National Park. Such is the beauty and the importance of the place, that the valley has been recognized as a world heritage site by UNESCO. You will find the most colorful, fragrant and unique flowers in the valley. The valley is surrounded by rare Himalayan flora. Spend as much time as you need amidst the splendid flowers. In evening we return to Ghangaria hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Badrinath Temple
Day 12: Ghangaria Govindghat Badrinath
Small chill in the morning air welcomes you to Day 12 of your tour. After breakfast, we trek down to Govindghat. From there we start on a 25 km drive to Badrinath. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Badrinath is one of the most important pilgrimage place in India. The town is always thronging with devotees from all over the country. Take a walk to the nearby areas and get to know the town. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Badrinath - Rishikesh
Day 13 is all for exploring the sacred town of Badrinath. In the morning we visit Badrinath Temple, the most important Lord Vishnu Temple. We also visit Mana Village which is the last Indian village on the side of Tibet. Before noon, we set out for a long journey to Rishikesh. It will be late into the night when we will reach Rishikesh. Check into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 14: Rishikesh Delhi
As the day begins, we will leave for Delhi by road. After a 5 hr journey, we reach delhi. The fascinating Himamalayan adventure tour ends here. From here you catch flight for your onward journey.
