Day 01: Arrive in Delhi
As you arrive at the Delhi airport, you will find our
representative eagerly waiting for you. Our representative will help
you out in completing all the formalities and also takes care that
your luggage are safely kept in the car.
Enroute to the hotel, learn as to what makes Delhi such a special
place. Also, know about the people of Delhi in general. This is quiet
helpful in ensuring that you donot have any problem while touring the
city next day. A traditional Indian welcome greets you at the
reception area of the hotel. After you check in your room, relax as
much as you want. A refreshing bath and a hot meal served right in
your room will be most definitely a delight for you. Rest of the day
is free for you to do whatever you want.

Humayun Tomb - Delhi
Day 02 : In Delhi
A full day exciting tour awaits you today, so have your
breakfast quickly and proceed towards your first destination, the
Qutub Minar. The towering minar stands as a reminder of the onset of
Muslim rule in India. It was initiated by Qutub-ud-din Aibak but final
constructions were done by Iltutmish. Notice how the tower tapers
towards the top thereby reducing the load on the lower portions. Also,
observe that the two top storeys are made up of marble rather than red
sandstone. Go around the Qutub Complex and examine structures such as
Quwwat-ul-Islam, Iltutmish Tomb, Alai Darwaza and Iron Pillar.
Your next stop is the Connaught place. Janpath and Jantar Mantar are
closeby. The last one is one of the five observatories built by the
Rajput king Sawai Raja Jai Singh. A huge sun dial known as the Prince
of Dials will catch your attention immediately. Connaught Place and
Janpath are shopping areas where you can shop for a range of products
at both reasonable and exorbitant prices. Go around both the shopping
areas and pick up items of your choice.
Later, also pay a visit to the National Museum which is on Janpath.
On display here are items dating back to the Mauryan era and
Vijaynagar Empire. You will also come across miniature paintings as
well as costumes of Indian tribals.
In the evening, head towards the India Gate which is considered by
many as the most happening picnic spot in Delhi. It is actually a 42 m
high arch that stands in respect of the Indian soldiers who lost their
lives in the first world war. Roam around the lush green lawns,
purchase an ice cream from a vendor, take a boat ride or simply enjoy
watching happy children running around. A view of the Rashtrapati
Bhavan from here is definitely not be missed.

Day 03 : Delhi - Jaipur
Today, it is time for a journey to the second Golden
Triangle Destination, Jaipur. The pink city, as Jaipur is also known
as is the capital of Rajasthan. It is at a distance of around 260 km
from Delhi and will take almost 51/2 hours to reach.
Approaching Jaipur, you will realise the appropriateness of the title
it enjoys as old pink building swiftly pass by. The streets of Jaipur
are full of life. Locals in cars, cycles, scooters, motorcycles, auto
rickshaws and even hand pulled rickshaws make way to their
destinations. Shop owners and buyers haggling for prices of items and
youngsters roaming around having fun present a lively picture.
Reach your hotel and check in. Have your lunch and relax for a while.
Rest of the day is free for you to do whatever you want.
In the evening, a visit to Chokhi Dhani will delight you. Chokhi
Dhani is a village resort wherein you can experience the freshness of
a village life. A dinner there along with Rajasthani folk music and
dance performance will become one of the endearing memories of your
life. Return to your hotel and stay overnight in Jaipur.

Jaipur City
Day 04 : In Jaipur
Today, you will embark on a full day sightseeing trip
in and around Jaipur. So, have your breakfast and start off your trip
to the city. Amber Fort, the erstwhile capital of the Kachhawaha
rulers before they shifted to Jaipur, is the first place you will see.
An enjoyable drive followed by an elephant ride will finally take you
to the fort. Roam around like a king and explore the Diwan-e-Aam,
Diwan-e-Khas, Jai Mandir, Sukh Niwas and the Zenana.
Next, you will make a quick visit to the Royal Gaitor, a place that
houses the cenotaphs or chhatris of Jaipur rulers, with the sole
exception of Sawai Ishwari Singh. Notice the delicate carvings at the
cenotaph of Sawai Jai Singh.
The City Palace complex, that largely serves as a museum today is the
next halt in your sightseeing trip today. Go around and have a look at
the interesting exhibits in beautiful halls and palaces. Hawa Mahal or
the Palace of the winds will look more like a screen to you. Notice
how different it is from the usual palaces that exist in India and try
to find out the reason for it. Also, pay a visit to the observatory,
Jantar Mantar of Jaipur.
Know more about Rajasthan culture in the Albert Hall Museum. Dolls
Museum will give you a different kind of joy.
Return to your hotel and relax. In the evening, enjoy a delicious
meal while the Rajasthani artists perform before you.
Day 05 : Jaipur - Agra
Have your breakfast and set out on a journey to reach
the third destination of the Golden Triangle tour. A drive to Agra
which is at a distance of around 250 km, will take about six hours.
However, enroute, you will stop by to explore the abandoned city of
Fatehpur Sikri. Akbar once wished to shift his capital to this city
but the shortage of water forced him to forsake his own idea.
Moving further, you will finally reach Agra, the famous city of the
Taj. Check in at your hotel and relax for a while. Next pay a visit to
the massive Agra Fort complex built in red sandstone. Itimad-ud-Daulah
and Jama Masjid are closeby. If you wish visit them too.
It's time to finally see the Taj Mahal, a symbol of love. As sun
sets, the golden beauty it spreads on the Taj is simply magical. You
feel yourself transported to another world while witnessing such a
majestic monument. If you happen to reach there before sun set, then
you will find it in different character (which changes with the light
of the day). Just sit and watch the beautiful Taj change as the day
passes by and sun goes back to its abode. Also do not forget to click
some photographs.
Return to your hotel and stay overnight in Agra.

Day 06 : Agra - Delhi
Early morning, it is time to see the Taj in yet another
mood. Reach there before sun rise and notice how this monument of love
glows with every falling ray of sun on it. Spend as much time as you
want admiring this beautiful monument and thereafter return to your
hotel.
Move back to Delhi. Stop to visit Sikandra on way. Sikandra is named
after Sikandar Lodhi and is significant because it contains the
mausoleum of the great Mughal Emperor, Akbar. It is a five storey
structure in a shape of truncated pyramid. After, you have had a good
look at the mausoleum, proceed ahead on your journey to Delhi.
Reach Delhi and relax. Rest of the day and evening is free to do
whatever you wish to. Relax or go out with your family/friends, the
choice is yours.
Overnight at Deogarh.
Day 07 : Delhi - Srinagar
Have your breakfast in the morning and move to the
airport. Catch a flight for Srinagar, the capital of the northern most
state of India, Jammu and Kashmir. The name Srinagar itself means 'the
beautiful city' and even in reality the place is no less mesmerising.
On arrival, you will be greeted by our representative in a
traditional style. He will transfer you to the houseboat which is
where your are going to stay in the city. Once aboard, you will
immediately realise the difference that marks a stay at a hotel and a
houseboat. With water all around, the houseboat will seem more
impressive and beautiful.
For the rest of the day, you are free to enjoy a stay at the
houseboat. Enjoy the surrounding beauty and relish the traditional
Kashmiri meal. In the evening, watch the magical beauty, as the sun
sets and spreads its hues as reflection in the lake water.
Stay overnight in Srinagar.
Day 08 : In Srinagar
Waking up early in the morning in a houseboat will also
be memorable experience for you. Feel the fresh breeze on your face
and touch the cool water of lake. The entire atmosphere, you will
agree, is completely refreshing.
For enjoying more of the beauty of Srinagar, you will move over to a
shikara. A ride in it will take you to Nehru Park, Hazaratbal, Nagin,
and Rainawari. Later, also pay a visit to the beautiful gardens of the
Srinagar - Harwan garden, Shalimar Garden, Nishat Bagh and Chashma
Shahi Gardens. What you will notice is that though Srinagar is famous
for its Mughal gardens, yet the other ones are not bad at all. Infact,
each of the non Mughal garden has its own peculiarity.
Return to your houseboat and enjoy an overnight stay again.

Kashmir Art & Craft
Day 09 : In Srinagar
This is yet another beautiful morning in the city of
Srinagar. Today, have your breakfast and leave for Gulmarg. Gulmarg is
around 51 km from Srinagar and is famous not only for its beauty but
also for its skiing slopes (in winter). Originally known as Gaurimarg¸
Gulmarg got its present name from Sultan Yusuf Shah. This cup shaped
meadow is a huge delight throughout the year, however, it is during
spring that the beauty comes into full bloom. with a variety of
colourful flowers dotting the entire area.
Driving to Gulmarg will be as fascinating as the place itself. Notice
the beauty that range from rice & maize fields to small
picturesque villages. Take a walk along a circular road that runs
around Gulmarg. The 11 km long stretch is beautiful with pine forests.
As you walk, views of Nanga parbat (the fourth highest peak on earth),
Ferozpore, Sunset Peaks and the Apharwat Ridge will enamour you
completely.
If you are visiting during winters, skiing is what you will enjoy
most.
Return to your hotel and stay overnight in Srinagar.
Day 10 : Srinagar - Kargil
Today, in the morning have your breakfast and depart
for Kargil via Sonmarg and Drass. Sonmarg is at an altitude of around
2740 m amidst glaciers and calm lake. From here, you can have a
wonderful view of the snow covered peaks of the Himalayan peaks.
Drive further to Drass which will be difficult and enjoyable at the
same time. As you travel on the meandering routes at a dizzying height
past Zogilla pass, a feeling of adventure will slowly seep into you.
Beautiful alpine flora will lead you to Drass, the first village on
this route. Travelling further, you will reach Kargil, a small sleepy
town dominated by Shia Muslims.
Check in your hotel and relax for a while. Later, interact with the
locals and find out more about their customs and traditions, their
lifestyle and beliefs. You will be surprised to note the difference
that exist between here and the other parts of India.

Leh Palace - Leh
Day 11 : Kargil-Leh
Leave Kargil today and travel towards Leh, visiting
Mulbekh enroute. Mulbekh is around 45 km from Kargil and is situated
on the banks of the Wakha river. The area is primarily dominated by
the Buddhists and there are many monuments of the early Buddhist era
here. See the beautiful statue of future Buddha here which is also
known as Chamba. The statue was built by the Kushan rulers of Central
Asia who quiet frequently visited this land.
Move further on your route to Leh. You will cross to passes -
Namika-la and Fatu-la. The former is at an elevation of 3800 m while
the latter is at 4000 m. The Fatu-la also happens to be the highest
pass between Kargil and Leh. From here, the road makes its way down to
the Lamayaru, the oldest site of Ladakh. Enjoy some really fantastic
views of the towering mountains. Also visit the Lamayuru monastery,
which is considered the most brilliant in the entire Ladakh region.
A drive of another 80 km will bring you to Leh. Check in at the
hotel. Relax and stay overnight at Leh.
Day 12 : In Leh
After you have your breakfast in the morning, get ready
to visit some of the interesting and important places in and around
Leh.
Your first destination will be SOS children's Village which was
established 1949 by an Austrian to provide support to children who
have lost their parents in the second world war. Today, this village
gives shelter to all the children who do not have parents to look
after them. Moreover, children are here educated and trained so that
they can live an independent life in future.
Next pay a visit to the Stok Palace which became home to the royal
family after they vacated the Leh Palace in the 1830s. Go around and
have a look at the exhibits of the palace museum - royal costumes and
jewellery, exquisite thangkas, porcelain, jade, weapons and armour.
Post lunch, it is time to discover some of the monasteries of the
region. The 15th century Spituk monastery is perched atop a hillock
and houses many icons of Buddha along with thangkas, masks, arms and
an imposing image of Mahakal. Sankar Gompa is a branch of Spituk
Monastery. Also visit the Phyang Monastery.
Return to your hotel and stay overnight in Leh.
Day 13 : In Leh
Today, you will travel on one of the highest motorable
passes in the world, Khardung la. It is actually perceived as the
highest motorable pass in the world by many. So, set out for a full
day excursion to a pass that is around 37 km from Leh. The beauty of
snowcapped mountains at the top will captivate your imagination.
After your exciting trip to the Khardungla, return to the hotel and
stay overnight in Leh.
Day 14 : Leh - Delhi - Flight Back Home
Pack your bags and move towards airport. Today, the trip comes to an end and you will catch a flight back to Delhi. Later, catch a connecting flight to your home.
