About the Udai Vilas Palace
The Udai Vilas Palace is situated on the Brahmapuri island on the western side of Lake Pichola and spreads in an area of 30 acres of beautiful gardens lined up with decorative fountains and pavilions. The palace is a classic example of the architectural skills of the Mewar dyansty. The palace took nearly ten years to complete and served as a hunting resort for the royal family. Today, the palace has been converted into a heritage hotel.

Udai Vilas Palace hotel has altogether 87 rooms for the
purpose of accommodation including 63 Deluxe, 19 Superior
Deluxe, 4 Deluxe Suites and 1 Kohinoor Suite. The
Deluxe rooms have an area of 600 sq feet and offers its guests a
private walled courtyard along with silken parasols, table and chairs.
Guests are at a liberty to roam around a little bit in the courtyard
or sit under the soothing shade of the silken parasol. The interiors
of the rooms, heavily influenced by the Rajput style are a ready

The speciality of the Superior Rooms is that they all open into a
semi private moated pool on a terrace. Views of Lake Pichola and a

Deluxe Suites have an area of 1150 sq feet which means that the guest
can move around more freely and comfortably. Staying in these suites

specially those of City Palace, are simply fantastic. There is also a

At the top of the level is the single Presidential Suite (Kohinoor)
covering a massive area of 2650 sq feet. The rooms have a royal

Rajasthan. This means that the flavour and taste of the cuisine of the
royal era will be yours to relish. Guests can visit the Udai Mahal,
a restaurant offering traditional north Indian dishes for a special
candlelight dinner or choose the Surya Mahal. The decor of the
Surya Mahal reminds of the era of 1930's and Mediterranean and Thai
style dishes give a a good alternative for the Indian dishes.
Chandani, the open air dining courtyard brings the guests out
from the confines of the halls and allows them to enjoy their dinner
with rhythmic beats of Rajasthani music and dance performances. For
those guests who really find eating out an amazing experience, there
are picnic lunch on private gondola. And then there is Bhagwanti
Royal Barge for a private cocktail party. Floating around Lake
Pichola, dinner on the barge is truly an awesome experience.
Recreational facilities in the hotel include a swimming pool
whose cool water beckons many guests to take a refreshing dip. And for
those who do not want to wet themselves yet enjoy the coolness of
water, there are boat rides on beautiful Lake Pichola. Watch the sun
