Nov 19 2007 - New Delhi, India - Hollywood takes action hero Jesus to India
Hollywood is to make a $20m film on Jesus life between 13-30 as wandering mystic in India. The film, Aquarian Gospel, will include cast from both Hollywood and Bollywood and will be released in 2009. The film will depict Jesus as a holy man who was insipired by a number of religions in India. The catholic church in India, however, states, that the film is yet another attempt by Hollywood to reach newer audience and not an attempt to highlight thr truth. More On This News

Nov 18, 2007 - New York, USA - Building community across religious differences
In New York, a Japanese Buddhist priest, Rev. T.K. Nakagaki performed takuhatsu, the traditional Buddhist form of alms round. He walked in slow meditation on different routes where he expected to get alms. However, regular passerbys also contributed and received fliers elaborating on the purpose of walk in return. Nov 17, 2007 - Nanjing, China - Italian contemplates life as Buddhist monk
Lucas, a 28 year Italian has become the first foreign Buddhist monk in China. He was ordained at Xuanzang Temple in Nanjing last week. He is a master's graduate from the University of Rome and believes that all religions have same basic truth. For him,"becoming a monk was rather an internal call determined by fate,". Lucas's master, Chuan Zhen was very cautious in accepting the foreign disciple but now he hopes that "Some day he might take Buddhism to Rome." More On This News

Nov 14, 2007 - Seattle, WA (USA) - Dalai Lama plans Seattle visit in April
This coming April, the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama will visit Seattle and participate in four days of discussion, the topic of which will be how to raise children so that they grow up to be happy and kind adults. The organiser of the event is Seed of Compassion which was established in the early 2007 with funding from Kirlin Charitable Foundation of Bellevue. The organisation is headed by former Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Raj Manhas. More On This News
